The Pats Villa daycare centre in Dresden underwent extensive renovation. As part of this, an additional fire escape was added to the side of the building. The steel staircase was covered with a membrane made of PTFE glass fibre fabric and attached to the steel beams all around using clamps. The membrane, which initially appeared brownish, has turned bright white after a few months.
