Rothenbaum Stadium

Rothenbaum Stadium

The Rothenbaum Stadium is Germany's largest tennis stadium. More than 20 years after its last renovation, the membrane roof of the centre court was replaced between 2019 and 2020. The roof consists of a 3,000 m² foldable inner roof and a 5,000 m² stationary outer roof.

Major challenges in this project included the manufacture and installation of the 3,000 m² inner membrane in one piece, the tight schedule due to upcoming major events, and dealing with the existing components.

Thanks to the excellent cooperation between all project partners involved, the flagship of the German Tennis Federation now shines in new splendour.
