Tenara can also be offered as an alternative to the other materials mentioned. Like PTFE-coated fabric, this material has a particularly dirt-repellent surface due to its Teflon coating. Its fire behaviour and UV resistance are similar to those of PTFE-coated fibreglass fabrics. The manufacturer guarantees a service life of 15 years, but the average service life is actually 30 to 40 years. Another significant advantage is its resistance to creasing. Even repeated folding and bending does not affect the fabric in any way. This makes Tenara particularly suitable for flexible structures, such as foldable canopies. Due to its high translucency of 19-38%, this fabric is also interesting for outdoor applications where high light transmission is desired.
