Garden exhibition 'Sigmaringer Blütenzauber'
For the garden exhibition ‘Sigmaringer Blütenzauber’, Textil Bau supplied the textile facade for the wooden pergola structure designed by Stuttgart architects ‘Lehen drei’.
Visitors to the garden exhibition can marvel at over 50,000 summer flowers, which form an artistic painting covering an area of 3,000 m². In addition, the architecturally designed garden covering around 2,500 m² blends into the scenery. The architectural framework is created by the U-shaped design of the gallery, whose classic form contrasts with the landscape ensemble.
The fabric used is silicone-coated glass fibre. The envelope, with a total surface area of approx. 1,000 m², consists of three individual segments that are pulled over the smoothly sanded wooden trusses one after the other and fastened on the outside with a tensioning mechanism. The light transmission of the material is particularly impressive, as it elegantly reflects the changing light and shadows throughout the day. The rhythm of the wooden trusses and the membrane panels, which shine brightly in the sun, create an exciting backdrop to the colourful sea of flowers.
The entire system was designed for reuse, so that the fabric can be removed and reused for a new installation.
