The highlight of the 2017 International Garden Exhibition (IGA) in Berlin is the ‘Wolkenhain’ (cloud grove) on the Kienberg. The visitor platform here, shaped like a cloud, towers into the sky as the centrepiece of the IGA and offers a panoramic view all the way to the centre of Berlin.

The white-painted steel structure was covered on the underside and sides with over a hundred individual elements made of silicone-coated fibreglass fabric. This fabric is particularly effective at night, when the structure is illuminated from within using a wide variety of lighting effects.
